partnership with Your Neighbourhood Credit Union, presently has an opening for an Associate
Investment Advisor. Aviso Wealth is a wealth management program offering financial
planning, insurance and investments to members of credit unions and their

The Role
The Associate Investment Advisor will demonstrate
a strong passion for providing sound investment advice and build wealth for our
members among smaller accounts and a core list of mutual funds in order to
support the Senior Investment Advisor working with members of higher net worth.
- Actively solicit the full range of the Credit Union’s Wealth Management products and services
- Design
and provide detailed financial strategies for members including but not
limited to retirement, education, asset allocation, and risk management
- Work collaboratively as part of the Senior Investment Advisor’s core team to provide advice to Credit Union members, potential members and non-members who hold brokerage accounts elsewhere
- Passionately
participate in campaigns, specific marketing initiatives and/or promotions
for new products and services that promote sales and growth
- Collaborate with the Member
Experience Team, and leaders and subject matter experts across
YNCU providing seamless banking, lending, investment, and insurance
services to members by making qualified referrals to other internal
experts
- Build his or her own portfolio of members by actively pursuing and establishing relationships and business contacts while supporting the portfolio members of the Investment Advisor
- Process timely and accurate cash transactions and Electronic Fund Transfers (EFTs) for clients; recommend FX conversions to cover stock purchase trades or Electronic Fund Transfer payments and maintain cash EFT client payment schedule
- Generate reports to monitor client portfolio cash balances, security concentration, sector concentration and currency concentration

What we are looking for
- Successful completion of the Canadian
Securities Course (CSC) and Conducts and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) or
completion within first six months of hire
- Completion of Certified Financial Planner
(CFP) certification is an asset
- Two
years' relevant experience in the banking, and/or financial industry or
similar work experience
- Working knowledge of job specific skills,
products, services, and systems and willingness to learn
- Must have a valid Ontario driver’s
license and reliable available vehicle
- Ability to travel to assigned YNCU
locations as required
- Must be bondable
- Working knowledge of YNCU policies and procedures
- Proven success working in a fast-paced, high growth environment
