The Role
The Commercial Account Manager is
responsible for building and maintaining a portfolio of commercial accounts
including but not limited to small to medium sized business and agricultural
accounts typically with connected business exposures over $1,000,000.
- Initiates and/or participates in business development activities and builds referral networks to enhance the commercial lending referral opportunities within the portfolio
- Acts as an advisor while working with branch staff to deliver a broad range of commercial services and ensures the completion of reviews on portfolio accounts including property site visits as required
- Reviews loan risks and provides recommendations on files posing potential risk problems
- Contributes to and implements action plans and commercial business development tactics based on established sales strategies
- Reviews and takes appropriate action where required for commercial overdraft reports and analyzes financial statements to assess credit worthiness

What we are looking for
- Post secondary diploma, degree and/or certification in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Commerce, Marketing, Accounting or a related program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Completion of Credit Union Commercial Lending or equivalent courses and/or strong working knowledge of commercial and agricultural credit
- Ability to understand and analyze financial statements
- Prior sales and service experience within the financial services industry and a general knowledge of available products & services is preferred
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours when required
- Must have a valid Ontario driver's licence and reliable available vehicle
- Must be willing and have the ability to be mobile and be prepared to work from multiple locations
- Must be bondable
