Service Representative (Summer Student) – Sault Ste. Marie
Your
Neighbourhood Credit Union (YNCU) is now accepting applications for our 4-month
Summer Student positions, running from May through August. These roles offer
hands-on experience in a member-focused environment, supporting our branches
across the region while making a meaningful impact on the communities we serve.
As a Summer
Student, you’ll work alongside supportive teams who are passionate about
keeping our service local and putting members first. It’s a great opportunity
to learn, grow your skills, and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, people-centred
organization.
To be considered for this Summer Student placement,
applicants must be returning to school after the work term concludes in August
2026.
The Role
As a Summer Student MSR, you’ll be
the friendly face of YNCU in the branch. You’ll support members with
transactions, answer questions, and help connect them to the products and
services that fit their needs. You’ll also work with your team to make sure every
member leaves happy, while learning valuable skills in financial services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist members in the branch with everyday banking tasks (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, etc.)
- Answer questions and show members how to use our digital tools
- Listen to members and suggest products or services that might help them reach their goals
- Take ownership of member issues and help solve problems quickly
- Work with your team to make sure every member has an exceptional experience
- Follow branch policies and procedures to keep transactions accurate and secure

What we are looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program, and returning after the work term end-date of August 2026 (preferably business, finance or a related program)
- Willingness to work at any branch of YNCU when requested in the Waterloo Region
- Self-starter, team player, and member-focused
- Strong communication skills and professional conduct
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office) and a willingness and ability to learn and utilize YNCU’s banking system, applications, platforms, and emerging technologies
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Must be bondable
Hourly Rate: $25.82
Working Hours: 35 hours per week:
Monday - Friday
To be considered for this opportunity you must be available Monday –
Friday between the hours of 8:45AM – 5:30PM.
