The Role
The Marketing and Digital teams are part of YNCU’s larger technology team. Acknowledging the direct connection between employee and customer experience, we are responsible for supporting enterprise initiatives that guide our people in all aspects of work and business enablement, performance, and well-being while delivering strategies and initiatives to support our brand reputation and enterprise level revenue driving activities.
We are looking for a talented and creative designer to help shape the digital experience across all of YNCU’s platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and designing user journeys, layouts, prototypes, and wireframes that clearly communicate design concepts and validate user interactions. You will craft intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces that align with our 2026 value proposition and brand promise, delivering exceptional experiences for our members and users. Collaborating closely with our marketing and digital teams, you will ensure all designs meet technical SEO standards, usability best practices, accessibility guidelines, and other key requirements.
This position is responsible for:
Web design (70%)
- Employ a data informed and user-centric design approach to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that meet user needs and business goals
- Work with marketing and digital team to maintain information architecture, ensure efficient and intuitive navigation and content organization
- Conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs, behaviours, gather feedback and make iterative design improvements
- Create and maintain design documentation, including style guides, design systems, and design specifications
Business Partnership (20%)
- Collaborating with the Marketing, Digital and other teams to ensure maximum value from web design and a wider exceptional digital banking experience
- Effecting strategic partner relationships with YNCU’s Marketing Digital, Experience, Retail, and Commercial teams
- Building strategic relationships and partnering with key industry players and vendors
Leadership (10%)
- Work with Marketing and Digital teams building alignment and engagement including design mentorship, coaching, succession planning and supporting team effectiveness to drive accountability and favourable outcomes
- Lead the design modernization process to shape organizational understanding of overall web design, the digital banking ecosystem, and establish support from key stakeholders
- Modeling, leading and communicating design principles and strategy in relation to key growth targets and KPIs
What we are looking for :
- 5 years in web/UX design
- Exceptional design skills and attention to detail
- Creativity/innovation
- Data informed and KPI driven
- Demonstrated strengths in customer focus, strategic thinking, results-driven planning, effective people management, and skilled negotiation and persuasion.
